Bohemians, Native Americans and hippies are all sources of inspiration for what we in fashion today describe as "boho-chic" or "bohemian". The original Bohemians were travelers or refugees from central Europe and their style, combined with the historic dressings of Native Americans and the 70's hippies, is what today inspires some of our most famous designers.

The "boho-chic"-trend had a big boom in 2004-2005 when stylish socialites like Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton, Sienna Miller and Kate Moss all adopted the look, and once paparazzi photographers snapped them, it spread like wildfire across the world. Everyone wanted to get their hands on Minnetonkas, long beaded necklaces, huge oversize 70's sunglasses and long skirts.

The "boho"-trend eventually simmered down, but continues to make new appearances regularly and this spring it's back in full force! From New York to Paris — runways across the globe all seem in agreement — Bohemian is the style to aim for this season!
