Fall handbag trends
What you’ll be toting this fall and how to carry it…

The clutch
As with the little black dress, the clutch is timeless, sophisticated and very
chic. This fall you’ll be pairing yours with dressy ensembles as well as casual
outfits to create a trendy look. Choose a larger clutch for day use and a
smaller one with glamorous touches (such as sequins) for evening.

The duffel bag
Oversized bags are big this fall. Consider this a good thing, as big bags will
fit all your essentials from lip-gloss to notebooks. Duffel shaped bags are a
common thread among designers. Although reminiscent of an overnight-bag you’d
bring to a sleepover, this fall you’ll be carrying it with you everywhere you
go.

The fanny pack
Some may cringe at the sight (or even the thought) of fanny packs but they’re
back and here to stay (through fall anyway). Be style savvy: a chic fanny pack
in leather that looks more like a belt with a bag (than the other way around)
will fit perfectly with a layered outfit.

Carry it like a clutch
This is a big trend for fall, seen on several designers’ catwalks. Regardless
of the size of your bag, big fashion houses like Marc Jacobs and Prada suggest
you carry your bag in your hand as if it were a delicate clutch.
