3 outfits under $100
Who says fashionable is expensive?
By Christina Eriksson 1st April 2006
I’ll admit it, I’ve been slightly obsessed with expensive designer wear lately
but who isn’t, really? Trends are born on the catwalk and make their way into
chain stores from there. Checking out the originals before their "inspired"
versions come along is fun, even though catwalk fashion isn’t nearly
affordable. But who said that being fashionable means dishing out hundreds or
maybe thousands of dollars on an outfit? Some people spend outrageous amounts
of money on clothes and wind up looking horrible in the end (just look at some
of our top celebrities!) Here are three outfits to prove to you that you can
look super trendy and have extra cash left over to treat yourself to Starbucks
after your shopping trip!
This first outfit is my favourite of the three, it slightly reminds me of
something I would see Nicole Richie wearing (especially the sunglasses!) The
shorts and top are adorable and perfect for spring and summer. This outfit is
casual and comfortable with a dressy undertone, perfect for a movie date or
shopping. The top is great because you can easily wear your bikini under it in
case you decide to hit the beach with your friends. I absolutely love the shoes
and was almost surprised to find them at Payless! This is what I mean though;
even the stacked heel trend looks good for less!
This second outfit is what I would call casual beachwear, very simple yet very
flirty and cute. This outfit is perfect this summer for hitting the beach, the
shoes are a must have for sandy beaches and the top and jean shorts are great
to throw over your bikini. Sunglasses are a must have on the beach to protect
your eyes. The cute necklace looks like something put together from shells and
stones picked on the beach, the perfect accessory to compliment this outfit!
I love this third outfit under $100, the dress looks like something by Diane Von
Furstenberg, it’s from Forever21 and a great price for such a cute dress! This
outfit is great for an evening out or a movie date. The necklace and bracelet
compliment this outfit and give it an interesting twist; I especially love the
red tone of the bracelet. The cool chunky heels are from Payless and a great
match with this dress, for shorties; they give you a little height! Finally,
the bag is slightly pricier than the rest of the items in this outfit; I
splurged on that part (would you believe the bag is actually on sale!) It’s a
nice bag that will fit everything you need for a night out with the girls!
