King William Clothing
Gorgeous. Reversible. Wearable.
By Christina Eriksson 28th of October 2005
When I first came across King William Clothing it instantly attracted my
attention and made me want to find out more. I quickly learned that King
William Clothing is not only beautiful and feminine but also very much
reversible! So in buying one top, I would instantly have two ways of wearing it
and by that, several amazing outfits to create. King William Clothing is an
independent, contemporary woman’s ready-to-wear clothing company.
Founded in 2004, King William Clothing is run by three young and creative
women; owner, designer and founder Katherine Reeves and her two business
partners Jennifer Madsen and KK McKenzie. The spring 2006 collection is both
beautiful and very feminine. Conveniently, all the clothing is reversible and
very detailed with sashes and straps that can be tied in various ways thus
giving you several alternatives of how you can wear the pieces.
Upon receiving a gorgeous green and white wrap skirt from Katherine Reeves my
first thoughts were how flattering and feminine the piece was and how fun the
skirt was because of its color and wear-ability! The latest collection is
available in both 100% combed cotton and 100% silk which gives each piece a
unique look, feel and style. The silk pieces add to the beautiful feminine feel
of the clothing while the cotton pieces still manage to flatter through the
creative style of the clothing. The pieces are fitted yet loose and flowy; an
image of a fairy or a princess in a magical place comes to mind. It turns out,
this is Katherine Reeves intention exactly; she had a vision of a “magical
place that lives in the heart of every stylish girl, a place where style rules
and a girl’s whims and desires are the law of the land”.
The quality of the items is magnificent. You can tell that Katherine
Reeves and her business partners love what they are doing as their passion
about the company shines through in the pieces created. The items are naturally
gorgeous and of magnificent quality. There is no doubt that there is some major
talent involved in the making of these items as well, the girls have managed to
create clothing that hit it right on every single note, comfortable, beautiful,
feminine, fashionable – you name it! Katherine Reeves has definitely managed to
live up to the name she chose for the company – “King William Clothing – The
land of King William…where gorgeous clothes reign”.
King William for a Cause
